We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Laundry Attendant
Job Location: Delta
Job Summary
- To perform all stages of linen processing including collecting, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, storing and delivering of all linen used in the camp.
- Ensure the proper cleanliness and sanitation of all soiled linens to maintain the highest standards of client satisfaction.
Responsibility
- Must be able to sort laundry by colours, material and fabric.
- Must be able to determine the best solution for stain treatment.
- Must be able to operate and maintain washing machines and driers.
- Must be able to clean the machines after use.
- Must be able to track laundry to ensure right items are returned to original owners.
- The ideal candidate must have valid certifications which must include BOSIET or OSP.
- Proven experience as laundry personnel or similar role
- Good understanding of safety practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of SSCE
- The ideal candidate must have valid certifications which must include BOSIET or OSP.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in this position.
- Must understand basic food hygiene and Safety.
- He must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- He should be able to work under pressure and must be result oriented.
Requirements:
- Must be hardworking, reliable and able to function in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven work experience as a laundry attendant in a location is needed
- Excellent customer service skills to offer an excellent client experience.
- Must show physical strength and ability to lift laundry materials.
- Hands-on experience in record taking
- Multi-tasking skills.
- Good vision and the ability to notice small stains and imperfections.
- Ability to follow directions from the Camp boss as well as follow washing machine instruction on garments.
- Attentiveness and patience for customers
- Helpful attitude to provide additional laundry services and housekeeping, if required.
